I am the Owner and Managing Broker of Buyer's Best Choice Real Estate. Buyer's Best Choice came into being in 1998 and has steadily grown ever since. We are a small, independent company dedicated to our clients.
I am a Denver native who grew up in the southeast section of Denver and Littleton. I have a diverse background, both professionally and personally. My focus is to provide outstanding customer service to my clients. I have earned the 5280 magazine FIVE STAR Real Estate Professional award for client satisfaction in 2010 and 2011. These awards are given to brokers in the top 7% of all real estate agents in the Denver area.
I have been a Realtor since 1997. I am a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI), an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR), and, most recently a Certified Eco-Broker (helping you learn about green building and remodeling).
I have been fortunate to have traveled extensively and have lived in Lanikai, Oahu, Hawaii, Frankfurt, Germany, Monterrey, Mexico, Mexico City, St. Louis, MO and Salt Lake City, UT. I have also lived in 19 different homes, so I understand how hard it can be to move. I am fluent in Spanish, and at one time, fluent also in German and French.
My husband, John, and I have been married for 40+ years. We have two daughters, both married, and two wonderful grandsons. We enjoy traveling, gardening and reading.
After a successful career in the telecommunications industry, I decided to become a Realtor. The main reason was because of the experience that we had when we purchased our current home.
The experience of selling and buying a home was not what it should have been, nor what we expected. On the selling side, the agent did not do what was promised and the transaction almost did not go through. As buyers, we gave the agent a list of our wants and needs, and ended up looking everything we didn't want. Then, after moving in, we faced a number of inspection issues that should have been addressed before closing, but were never mentioned by the inspector. We had to have a new roof, have the electrical system redone, replace the furnace, etc., etc., etc.
I decided there should be someone who is more interested in the client than the commission. There is no better way to buy or sell a house than with me. I really do care about my clients!

I decided to become a Realtor to work with people and their dreams. Every person, home and situation I encounter is different so it makes my day to day life interesting and fresh. Being a part of my client's journey with buying and selling homes makes me feel I accomplished something for my clients and myself. I have pride in what I do and I believe in the personal and caring touch that goes along with every part of the process that is such a large event in one's life.
I am a Colorado native and I have been in the Real Estate community since 1998. I'm working constantly to improve my systems, processes and education in this career so that my standard level of service goes far beyond the basic level that is expected.

My husband, Neil, and I have been married since 1998. Neil has always supported my career. Our two Labrador dogs, Leila and Griffey, are also a large part of our lives, as well as family and friends. I am very active in outdoor activities year-round from camping, hiking, snowboarding and more. We love to travel as much as we can. The Denver metro area allows us to enjoy year round sports, theaters and concerts keep us busy as well.

When I obtained my Real Estate Broker's License, I decided to work with Buyer's Best Choice as a Broker Associate because I have known the owner, Marilyn Van Steenberg for over 20 years. We worked together for many years in other industries and I know we share the same ethical standards and dedication to our work.
I am a Colorado native with over 20 years experience in contract negotiation and marketing at the corporate level. I know the Denver Metro area and surrounding counties, and understand the diverse lifestyles in the areas which aid me in assisting clients in finding the right fit for choosing a home
I have lived and worked in Colorado, Honolulu, Hawaii, Seattle, Washington, Sherman Oaks, California, and St. Augustine, Florida, and have always returned to Colorado because I love the state and the opportunities it offers.
I currently live in Elbert County, and am enjoying my return to the country lifestyle I grew up with after so many years of working and living in the city. I am a horse lover and have three of my own along with several other assorted furry creatures. I go to the mountains as often as I can to camp, ride, hike and fish, and take advantage of the beauty Colorado offers. I have a married son and a granddaughter who share my love of animals and spending time exploring and traveling.
I have purchased and sold several homes over the years, and experienced first-hand the problems a buyer can face. This made me decide to focus on helping buyers through the process and doing everything I can to help them navigate through it as smoothly as possible.
