It's a good place to start your visit to the park. The Adams County Fair is normally held during the first full week in August. The first fair was held in 1904. Festivities include a parade, rodeo, various special events, a carnival and numerous booths with food, clothing and souvenirs.
Adams County Colorado was created in 1902. Prior to that, the area was a part of Arapahoe County. The name came from Alva Adams, a popular governor at the time.
