Westminster is primarily a residential community located on the northwest side of Denver.  Situated between Boulder and Denver real estate, the City of Westminster has been in existence since 1911.

Westminster real estate is diverse.  There are a variety of styles, locations and prices for homes in Westminster.  You can find single family homes, condos and townhomes.  Wheather you are a first-time homebuyer or an executive, you will find what you want in among the options for Westminster CO real estate.

Westminster has a lot to see and do.  The Butterfly Pavilion and Insect Center is a "must see".  It has more than 1,000 live butterflies living in an indoor rainforest environment.  Tours of the exhibit will give you a "hands on" learning experience.  Hold Rosie, the tarantula in your hand, if you dare!

Go back in time by visiting the Bowles House Museum. See what Westminster was like 100 years ago.  Drive by what was once known as the "Princeton of the West", a magnificent neo-Romanesque-style building rising from Crown Point.  It was built during the late 1800s.  It is now Belleview College and Preparatory School.

Westminster has long had a priority for preserving open space and approximately one-third of the city has been set aside for hiking, biking and enjoyment of the outdoors.

The Big Dry Creek Trail extends for approximately 10 miles from eastern Westminster to Standley Lake.  Other jogging and biking paths along the Farmer's High Line Canal, Little Dry Creek and Walnut Creek provide ample opportunities to view wildlife and the variety of plants and trees native to the area.

The Westminster Bell Tower is an area landmark.  It has 24 bells making it the second largest carillon in the state.  You can climb the 181 stairs for an incredible view of the surrounding area of Denver and you can see the entire Rocky Mountain Front Range.

The city planners have a good growth management plan for development which does not jeopardize the city services and water capacity.  It is also proud of its history and has taken steps to preserve its heritage.
