Olde Towne Arvada is the heartbeat of northwest Denver.  Recently renovated by the Arvada Urban Renewal Authority has now become a pedestrian-friendly area offering residents diverse restaurants, shops and galleries.  During the summer months enjoy wine tasting, outside cafes and live entertainment.  Fresh produce can be found at the Farmers Market. Olde Town Arvada is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Arvada Colorado homes for sale range from condos to high-end residences.  The location of the city is one of the reasons people find Arvada a great place to live.  It is a smaller city within the Denver metro area with a little over 100,000 residents.

Transportation to all major destinations is abundant.  There is an RTD Park and Ride, the DIA shuttle and, soon, a Light Rail Station.  Easy access to I-70 takes you to the mountains or to DIA and point east.

There are many amenities offered to Arvada residents.  The city has a wonderful library that is located within the redevelopment area, the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities that offers a wealth of entertainment and education.  Thespian wannabes are always welcome.

The Arvada Colorado calendar has something to offer all year long.  In June, the Gold Strike Festival runs for several days.  It commemorates the first gold strike by Lewis Ralston on what is now known as Ralston Creek in Arvada. Arvada has a very interesting past.  Check out the Arvada Historical Society or more information.

Every year in September, the Harvest Festival is THE place to be.  The Harvest Festival began in 1925 and is the second longest running festival in the state.

You will not want to miss the nostalgic Lagniappe Christmas festival.  Lagniappe means small gift in French.  Listen to the carolers while sipping hot chocolate or hot cider.  Bring family and friends to the tree lighting ceremony.  Enjoy the free carriage rides and visit with Santa.

You do not have to go far to shop for whatever your heart desires.  Wadsworth Blvd. has great restaurants, box stores, boutiques, grocery stores and much more.
